Keep the lights saturated, the edges sharp and the transitions smooth. Maybe add radial highlight or two and a bit of subtle, transparent reflection at the end.
But the main advice never changes, be patient and control your brushwork. :aha:

You might want to investigate the lasso selection, flood fill, and magic wand selection tools. That would help keep your colour inside the lines.
