Phew. I finally managed to finish all the little bits and pieces of avatar items for the holiday celebrations at Aywas. Maybe now I can get back to drawing elf hair. If Gandalf will let me.

Nicely done!

I like that little sheen of light on the white ribbon of the blue box. It's just a little touch but it catches the eye to make it pop and makes it look like a very expensive gift. :)

Thanks :)
This one set in two colours plus two other clothing items resulted in 43 image files... and with a cat that barely lets me finish two a day it's taken some time...
5 pieces of clothing in two colours, for male and female avatar = 20 images, plus icons for each (only one gender) and we're up to 30. Then there were two other pieces, male and female and icons = +6, and the full set previews and "trunk items" (the gift pile images) = + another 6 and one image showing each item alone on an avatar, both male and female (could have been another 24 images, that...)

The amount of images are the tedious bit about making aywas stuff...Although, really, the one with all the previews is the worst. While making them all separately would be way faster and easier, it'd take much longer to include all the urls in a post later...

Another set finished today, despite Gandalf's best efforts to prevent it.

This one is just a "base" meant to be colored by others.

Even as a "base" there's still some excellent variation of texture in there. It looks like you've done all the hard work for whoever gets to colour it. :)

Yep that's how it usually works, mainly because you can resubmit unused bases so you have "forever" on them, but only a week to submit colorations once a base is chosen. When coloring, people can add patterns but mustn't "edit" the shapes/lines or shading. :)

I should get around to coloring that base above. I submitted it twice but the (same, I assume) majority keeps voting for "furry" clothing sets with ears and tails and such...

Meanwhile a friend let me know that April isn't all about spring, Easter, fools or bad weather, so I did this (based on a wolf-like pet)

Ooh, I like that one!
The subtle light on the underside of the body and tail gives it an amazing sense of dimension, it really pops of the screen and looks alive.
If the majority doesn't vote for that then they're all idiots. :P

he he thanks
though this one only requires staff to like it enough... (no people's vote :p)

A "fauna" submission for Aywas (small size is site size, big is work size)

EDIT: Dang I just realised the tufts are not symmetrically placed. Oh well...
