Like Atto, I just checked out the final piece in the gallery. Well Done B)
It was too bad you couldn't have completed it for the original competition; although from what I read in the general forum the winner of that comp may not get published.
Anyhow nice to see the finished work here and agree the floating image when you click on it I think looks even cooler since the darkened surrounding makes the image look like it is glowing.

Was hoping to finish another colouring book image while I'm on vacation and I was thinking lions and then, as luck (or this time of year) would have it, it's also the current zodiac challenge so I figure some lion studies are gonna help me with both... Now these are just random lion images from a google search so the original photos are probably copyrighted and definately not mine. Come to think of it I should have some old lion photos from the good old before digital camera days lying around somewhere...

In other news I've had a shitty morning. I needed to renew a prescription so I checked my blood pressure last week and it was too high and so I had a doctor's appointment this morning. Blood pressure is still too high and he gave me a prescription for that. So far so good, only he also said all nice like that he'd tell my other doctor that I really shouldn't get that other prescription and I dunno what it is with doctors but I never think to ask them how the heck to get on without the meds I need until AFTER I've left. So now I keep worrying that I won't get my prescription and that my health will get even worse than when they decided to "experiment" with my prescription last year. (That went so badly that they changed their minds after a few weeks...)
This doctor feels it's up to the other doctor to find an alternative but as far as I know there is none (if there was I'd already be on it!) and I've already asked them and they never had an answer before, I doubt very much they'll have one now. :(

Sorry to hear of you medical issues. And yes, Doctors can be a fickle bunch. (I've been dealing with my wife's for many years.) I honestly believe they just guess most of the time, and just flub it the rest of the time. You can go to 4 doctors for the same thing, and get four different results. It would almost be easier to just have them spin a damn wheel and see what illness it falls on. ... I would just do some research on your own research, and take care of yourself. Doctors can sometimes make things worse with their experimenting.

Look forward to seeing you Kitty pic. :)

Yeah, I've heard rather horrid things from friends and family going to the doctor's...

Anyway I know what I have, and I know what issues it causes. But as far as I know there's no real treatment, only this one thing that the doctors don't want to give me for various reasons (like having been on said treatment for too long - yeah well I was born with this issue so maybe I need a treatment for life?)

Seeing the discussion on dwarf anatomy in Atto's thread I felt inspired to do a bit of sketching... And I have to say from this evidence (ahem) it's obvious that Elves and Orcs are more closely related than one may think at first glance...

B) that's pretty cool Charlotte. After our discussion of dwarven legs the other day I did find a ref for the various races. Not at my pc right now but will try to remember to post later.

No smudge tool was harmed in the making of this image.

Ditto atto, on the coolness! These look really good. :) ... Can even see a skeletal battle-scene starting to form with these guys... hmm... :D

Battle scenes hadn't come to my mind, yet :P but that could be fun - an eternal battle between the dead armies of fantasy races... whoooo....
I was more curious about possible anatomical variations though - and I'm wishing I'd made the orc's legs a bit shorter, I think.... Just a bit more gorilla like... :)
Any skeletal battles will have to wait though, since I have Leo, a lion colouring page and Aries to worry about. I haven't worked on Aries in like forever (well, June when the Giger challenge came up, I think) but I'm finally back on it. A little anyway!

Well, if you do get around to it, 'an eternal battle between dead armies of fantasy races' would be quite awesome to see. :) Look forward to seeing Leo done as well.

And thanks for the suggestions on my recent sketch. I just re-worked it a bit. Still needs some work, but wanted to get the idea down for now.
