There's some lovely shading and skin tones there. And it was recognisable even as a line drawing.
Make sure you keep flipping the image to keep the eye alignment correct. I always lose control with those angled, tilted head poses and it ends up being skewed.

Still need to add shading into the right side of the jaw line and pull it in somewhat. Also, still working on the eyebrows, haven't completely decided how I want to approach them yet. Can't find very many tutorials just on eyebrows. =/

The Christmas card somehow got stained by something yellow. It was not salvageable. I still have it. It just has three bright yellow stains I can't remove from it.

Well, it's been a while, but finally classes are over so I'm able to work on my art again. I bought an iPad Pro a few weeks ago and I've been having fun experimenting with it via some digital celebrity portraits.

Lovely sketch so far, Madi. There's already some great texture to the scruff of hair beneath the bottom lip and the likeness looks good too. :)

Thanks, Valence! I am really digging these more traditional-looking brushes in ProCreate. They have a great edge and texture to them. Looking forward to experimenting more with this application.
