Why does his brush look like a Mr Bean clipart or something?

After embarrassing myself by failing to paint grass for two hours I went to YouTube for help and found this annoyingly talented chap.

Sigh. :(

aw you poor thing. But console yourself with the fact that he paints images that you could just as well get from a camera. I prefer things that don't actually exist :P
(He did some sort of cat fight/apocalypse painting which looked rather like a photo montage... so... yeah pretty and photorealistic environments, but I'm hard to impress :P)

Anyway I guess you looked at that, for your acrylic stuff?
Otherwise, for ArtRage I tend to use some sort of texture brush that makes irregular lines... sometimes with some of the grass brushes on top, and if I need to smudge/blur anything I use the frosted blur rather than a smooth one.

I haven't linked a video but over the last 2 nights I've watched Charlie Bowater's youtube channel where she's put the sketching/drawing process of her "Wings and Ruin" image.

I watched it from start to finish, it's all very depressing, she's so good, I suggest you have a look though, it's nice to too how the scribbles become beautiful elven people

Who's wearing a tutu?

You've no idea how many times I do that double word typing thing.
Unless you assume I do it for every single message, in which case you have a pretty good idea of how often I do that double word typing thing. :)

The edit button is my very good friend.

EDIT: And I will check out that video later.

Been watching a few of Cynthia Sheppard's videos after her recent teaser got a mention elsewhere.
She has a good balance of painting process along with a relaxed and interesting chat. (There's a really good one about failure which is always relevant. :))
Hope she continues to make more. :)

I just watched her sketchbook tour :) It was quite nice (I need to use mine more! Even if I've gotten over the "all sketches must be good sketches" I mostly use mine for notes and scribbles rather than drawing)

Is there a way (besides the regular bookmark/favourite) to save fav channels? I didn't see it...
