Just wondering about if this could work.

I have personal experience with running an online magazine and there were 2 reasons I stopped. First was my limited time/ health, Second was sourcing tutorials and the likes.

So I ask is an online magazine something everyone would be interested in and if so who would be willing to help on a regular basis?

I would be happy to contribute something written. I don't know what would be asked, but I would be glad to help out.

Everything's on the right!!!

Things we need:
Content gatherer: This can be multiple people. It will be their job to gather content (tutorials, interviews, etc)
Art reviewer: Someone who can write reviews for what ever art works are featured.
Editor: The main boss to help organise things.
Indesign guy: I am assuming that not many people here have experience with Indesign. This is the program I recommend we use,
Proof reader: Spelling is a bitch.
Marketing: We need someone with some experience in promoting (twitter Facebook, Pinterest, etc)

I am sure that there are a few more people we need but that is the start.

I can help out with Indesign but we will need to be extremely organised.

Depending on what was needed and how it fit in with the limited skills I have I'd certainly be interested.

I have to admit I might not be good at providing regular help and I'd probably suck with deadlines, but let me know if I can do anything and I'll at least try (or let you know whether I can try at that time)... Does that help? That was like no promise at all... :silly:

Well if you have a passion for doing this the skills with come. My first issue was really bad. If we had enough people helping out it could turn out well.

Thinking about it, I'm not that good at art, but I'm pretty good at writing, and I'm a pretty picky proof-reader. :)

If we done it quarterly then time may not be a problem. We can have most of the stuff done and then just plop the front cover on.

The real time sapper for Forumites was hyperlinking all the prints and names with the prints. We would not have a big sell your prints page like Forumites magazine.

Ok, here's my experience with the topics you mentioned before:

Content gatherer: Not much experience, but I browse deviantart a lot, so I come across a reasonable bit of useful stuff.
Art reviewer: Little experience reviewing art, but pretty experienced at general reviewing.
Editor: Good experience at management, I've done it several times in the workplace.
Indesign guy: No experience at all, never even heard of it.
Proof reader: I'm the king of being pernickety!
Marketing: No real experience here.

So what is the purpose of the magazine Phoeni? I know your last one was from deviant art to promote people's art and give tutorials etc, but what i'm struggling to get is that information will already be here on the forum?
