Gallery Categories

If you've started uploading works to the Gallery section you may have noticed that each image needs to be placed in one of several categories. If you find that your image does not fit any of the categories available, let us know and we can probably fix it! We will try to keep the list of categories reasonably limited, not offering hundreds of choices, so stuff like "romantic fantasy" will still be "Fantasy". But perhaps there are other categories you'd like to see. If so, let us know!

Some categories not yet available are:
Historical and Prehistorical with subsection Paleoart (yay, I want this one!)
Mythology (I want this one too!)
Tattoos & Bodypaint
Steampunk (scratch that - it is added under sci-fi: I can't keep up with those other two!)
Surrealism
Other

We haven't added them, because we're not sure they'll be needed*. So I repeat - let us know what you'd like to see and we'll do our best to please :)

*Except Paleoart - I have one image for that. But if it's ever only going to be one image... maybe not.

I uploaded some pics to my gallery on the user panel, but stupid me, I thought "published" meant, has this art been published so I chose no, now I can't choose to publish them won't allow me to edit the field. Is there a way one of you fine admin's can help me out ?

Well, I actually just looking into it myself, to see if I could help ya out in any way. But though all of mine say, yes, the selection box where you are supposed to be able to change your option with the drop down menu is greyed out. As if the function itself is either not activated, or set up that once you select your choice, it locks out. So guess you will have to wait until one of the administrators can help ya out. Which I'm sure they can.
I get sketchy around pencils! ...=D

Thanks Dave, I had a beat my head against the monitor moment when I saw I couldn't edit that, it's like my art is not worthy of print but don't deny me web space :(

Not a problem. Like I said either the function is turned off, or set up so that once you make your initial decision, it then locks out. But I'm sure one of the Admins can clarity what's going on.

Hey Dave,Is there a trick to putting images in the Gallery, or is there a time lag...or probably I did something wrong...as usual. In the user panel it seems to be there and I saved it but don't see it in Gallery. I made sure it was small enough, I think..Clueless I see you have got some images in the gallery so you know how. Can you or maybe one of the mods fill me in...never posted any in IFX gallery.
