Aw, well at least you're not totally cut off! And it'll be great having a new place and once you do have a new computer it'll be all brand spanking! :woohoo:

All True Charlotte. Good news is it wasn't my hard drive it was the monitor. So nothing losed in that way. And yes the move will be fantastic. I can't wait to have an art studio space again. Going 4 years without has been tough. It all means I can produce even more art eventually on a more steady basis.

Hey everyone! Nice to be back/ {kind of} I'll give you heads up on whats been going on lately. First thing my big move for October 1st never materialized I'm afraid. Long story. That is postponed for awhile now. So no new Desktop :( However I did save up for a new laptop. I like it a lot but didn't realize some new laptops these days don't come with a DVD drive. So I have to wait till October 20th for that so I can install my tablet software. I should be getting a scanner then as well. So you should see some work from me again very soon I hope. For those curious about the comic YES I have been working on it still. I have 2 pages plus cover left to pencil then 12 pages to Ink still plus cover.

Some details on my new laptop. I think it'll have all the power I need for digital artwork at higher dpi canvases .

Its a Toshiba Laptop Windows 8.1
15.5 inch HD LCD monitor
Intel Core i5-4210u CPU @ 1.70GHz 2.40Ghz
8 GB of ram
750GB Hard Drive
64-bit system
and has a 2GB AMD Radeon Video card.

I saved 150$ with at purchase. With taxes included it came to 818$ cdn.

Anyways I can't wait to get some art up again soon. Missed ya all.

Take care and all the best. ;)

Hello everybody,
Its been awhile since I posted anything. A lot has happened in the last few months. Some bad some good. I talked about this in general discussion so I won't go on here about it as well. I'm here to share what I have been doing lately again finally. For those of you wondering about The Nick Cave Comic, YES it is still in the works. Its almost done; with the inking stage that is. But I'm not here to share that with you today, instead I wish to share with you a new project under the same lines as the one I'm currently finishing on my days off.

Its another lyric for lyric comic book. The Song is "The Partisan" by Leonard Cohen another one of my favourite songwriters. This project is a bit of an artsy project for me, an experimentation in sequential story-telling with a song. The image below will illustrate this best.
The Black Dots are silent frames with no lyrics in this case this is where in the actual song you would here music only no singing. So the attempt on my part is to pace the comic to the beat of the music.

This next series of images is from my sketchbook. These are my thumbnail sketches for reference when enlarging to 11x17 inches on Bristol board. Some changes have been made already. Its in the notes in blue ballpoint pen.

Here is a peek into my mini sketchbook, where I tend to brainstorm with myself by doing a lot of writing. It is essentially my art journal for this project.

Well I hope you enjoy. Fantastic to be back again. Will be sharing more again soon. I hope by July I'll have the entire sequence up in post #1 of the Nick Cave Comic finally all inked and lettered for all of to see finished in sequence finally.

Take care all the best

This looks truly epic, such an ambitious project. I can't even imagine putting in this level of forethought and subsequent work into an idea (slipshod slacker that I am!)
Very good luck with it, I shall greatly enjoy watching it progress.
