I agree with Dom! Thanks for sharing :)
also that splash page looks great. 14 hours - I'd probably take a lot longer but on the other hand I'm way too impatient. Most likely I'd give up after 2 or 3 :P

Any an all misspellings are henceforth blamed on the cats.

Thanks Charlotte.

Here was my so called trick to the Splash Page....DON'T do it all in one go :P Yeah no my eyes would be to sore after 14hrs straight. So I would work for 2 to 4hrs on it, then put it aside start a different page. Maybe just laying it out. Then maybe go back to it if I felt I was in the mood to work on it. I work like that with a lot of pages. That way if I get bored or if my eyes get sore the line work never gets sacrificed.

I like that method. I find that I can't concentrate on just one image for too long and so I often have two or more images on the go at once and flick between them.

I suppose the overall pace is slowed that way, but at least some progress is being made.

Everything's on the right!!!

It's like driving abroad!

The method does work good with me Dom. The pace doesn't slow down to much thou. I usually will do it in one of the 3 stages. Example one day I might just do my rough layouts. Depending on the amount of perspective on a page. I can layout 4 to 6 pages in a day. Then the next day I can start refining them more. This way the pace doesn't slow down to much. Different story when I'm painting thou. :P

I started a separate post for this one for a reason. I'm happy to be able to share my process through this. I'm working with a talented writer and a friend on this one. We're going to be doing a Graphic Novel together. I can't give out to many details right now its in its extremely early stages. What I get to share is me creating a World. For the book I'm gonna have to create everything. From plants to animals, technology costumes environment etc.... Should be quite a challenge for me.

So here some facial concept sketches so far.

Its a sad day today. Its gonna be awhile now before any kind of an update of anything. My laptop finally died on Me last night and I'm moving out for October 1st. This means no new laptop or desktop until early mid November. I'll still be around on my phone thou.

Best to all

Mikey.
