"Earwig the Cat" - sounds like a perfect name, too :p

Was that done with coloured Biros?
I always have trouble controlling the values with them (and with coloured pencils too) but you've handled it very well here, especially how the lighter yellow area darkens into that orange colour.

I agree, the colors are added very nicely :)

Thanks for kindness guys. :)
Yes it was with two Bic 4 color ballpens. The standard Red green blue black, and one yellow orange pink purple I found. I have one with some lighter green and blue but I forgot to bring it. :( Another green would be good for the leaves.......

I think it’s really good for color practice to try and solve a picture with that kind of limited palette and tools.

And lines and shading with markers. Micron 01 and 08. And of course some pencil in the very beginning. XD.

It's the yellows I can't deal with. Whether it's pen, pencil, pastel, chalk... Anything that doesn't have pre-mixing, anything where you have to actually blend the colours (sometimes optically) ON the canvas/paper... It just never ever goes right for me. So I definitely appreciate it when I see someone else do it well! :)

Anywaay... Here's a couple of things from the last two days. And WARNING! Some boobery follows.

Yeah, yeah. Head too big. It was even bigger during the videoing.

Are they from reference? The second one is really good!
The head looks within “normal” proportions to me. :)
If anything the hip looks a little high.
But when just looking it won’t show because you have a really good focus on her face and boob area.. :D

Thank you.

Yes, they are from reference (I'm terrible at drawing from imagination) and they all come from RedditGetsDrawn.

Just nice to see you folks still at it. :) ... I've been trying to get back to mine, but been quite busy.

Also funny how we are all different in that way, because I've always felt more that I so enjoy drawing so much more from imagination and don't particularly like using refs. Nothing against it by any means, I just think I never did it to get used to it? And don't think I would be much good at it either, probably worrying too much on trying to be perfect in replicating it? ... Or maybe I just overthinking it?

I get sketchy around pencils! ...=D
