Lovely start Atto! Both the beauty of the sea turtle and the little structures already giving a sense of scale and setting the imagination going :)

Any an all misspellings are henceforth blamed on the cats.

what’s the not digital one done with?

That's acrylics on that nice canvas paper that you can get from The Works. (Well, you can when it's in stock! :shakefist:)
It does frustrate me that it takes 5 times longer to complete than the digital pic. :(

And I agree with Charlotte, that's a great start on an epic turtle. :)

Everything I've started this week has gone horribly, horribly wrong. I don't really know what's happened, but at least it gave me chance to finish the challenge (and play Thimbleweed!)
After two other failures today I managed... something.

I tried to do something with some softer shading today but...

I wouldn't go so far as to say that it went wrong, it just takes me far too long and then I run out of time leaving it looking even more unfinished than my normal stuff.

It really needs another 45mins to get some edges working...

...and I don't think that 45mins will happen.

Edit: OK, so I lied and did do a bit more work on it after all.
It's still not right but it's not quite as shoddy as before.

Edit2: And there was a video for it. I obviously forgot, or maybe I just didn't like it and wanted to forget. ;)

Ah, now this is the right place for it..

Anyway, here's the evening effort. I like doing older people now and again...

And I don't know why the video was so long. Must have pressed the wrong button again.

Tried to do another cartoony style one but it didn't really work.

It's odd how trying to do something in this style takes me a lot longer than when I try to do the more painterly stuff. And even though the skin tones are still not right, they did look much worse earlier on. So I should be partially satisfied with a partial rescue.

One of those weird hairless cats...

And here's evidence of how difficult it was to do the eyes. Feel free to snigger during the hideous moments, I know I do! :giggle:
