Stupid heroic dog, forcing me to do late night painting when I really wanted to play equally late night Morrowind!



Normally, when I choose to paint on a Saturday I'd usually do it in the early evening but you know how it is when Star Wars is on the telly. I can't drag myself away, even when it's the rubbish one. I just have to hang around for Duel Of The Fates. *sad person*

Yes, still only "some" background though.

Remember when I always used to paint to the edge of the canvas?
What crazy days those were!

Not really a background (spelt correctly this time!) but at least there's no blank paper/canvas.

This one took waaaaay too long.
And I don't even know why. I can't even blame the hands!
Who knows where the hours went?



At least there's a cat in it.
It's never a complete waste when there's a cat!

Wasted too long on another doggy failure today and only left myself enough time to do this quick thing...

I've been doing some dreadful stuff recently. I think I've had four or five consecutive failures. Absolutely shocking! It's like I've forgotten how to paint and draw.

This one wasn't quite a failure. (But it almost was!)



I think I need to go back to school.

I'm learning so many new ways to do it wrong!

I'm suddenly reminded of when I was younger and I had a strange obsession with card tricks. I would spend far too much time with a pack of cards in my hand while reading through my copy of Erdnase, but despite all the practise, the only thing I ever got better at was picking them up of the floor when I dropped them all!
Thankfully I grew out of that phase.

But I'd still be happier practising things that actually work.
