according to wikipedia staffies are pitbulls.... so I guess I should have said they were shortlegged pitbulls instead....
and yes. cats. big cats, small cats, wild cats, ragdolls, sphynxes, siamese, persian, housecats, chausie, jaguarundi, fishing cats, bobcats..... Much easier to keep track of...

Legs?
That's just a head with feet!!

Reminds me of the gaming thread where I mentioned the old Spectrum game Head Over Heels. It just needs a handbag, or a doughnut-firing hooter.

When I first read the book I never imagined that Woola would look quite so derpy. :P

This kind of soft-shaded style really needs more than one session, especially the hand. But you don't expect me to work on hands, do you? :P

Edit: I found another free half hour to smooth out some of the gradients a bit but it still needs more layering.

You're too hard on yourself. That hand looks pretty good. Maybe the shape of the pinky could use some more work but the shapes and warm shadows inside the palm are really well done!

I can't quite make out how that "collar" of hers is placed or joined together, but that might be a ref thing.

Surprisingly for me, the thing I struggled most with was the arm on the right side. I'm sure there's some "bad anatomy" going on down there but even ignoring that, the shoulder still looks a little "formless" to my eye. Soft, subtle airbrushing is tricky in that way, you have to keep going over it repeatedly, layer after layer, until your boredom hits its limit. :)
I much prefer the messy brush look, where you just do a couple of lazy strokes and it's done. :P
