And I thought The verve was a group... like The Blur, or something... :dumb:

I think my patience was melting too. :)

The fluid stuff is tricky enough to work with but I also don't like the colour picker and don't get me started on the keyboard shortcuts!
Annoyingly the hotkey on my tablet that I've set up to zoom on every other piece of software has a different (and bizarre) function in Verve. It pointlessly spins the canvas around in a rather violent, dizzying way. And then I can't stop it!
No matter how hard I try I can't overcome the muscle memory that makes me click that button whenever I think of magnifying and then it's spinning picture time again!

If I ever meet someone who can actually paint something in Verve I shall shake their hand and offer my hearty congratulations.

well those darn hotkeys - I should go through them and see if I can set them to do the same things in ArtRage and Krita, as I keep getting things confused if I change programs...

I've just been spending the last two days setting up Krita to use the "correct" keyboard shortcuts. 'Ctrl' for the colour picker is just idiotic, that's why I could never get used to Gimp. I think it's a Linux thing.

But it was back to Artrage for this thing...

And it isn't even changed under "Keyboard shortcuts" either. :shakefist:

Yeah, it took me a while to find it.

It's under 'Settings> Configure Krita> Canvas Input Settings> Alternate Invocations.'
They don't make it easy, do they?

I never found a way of doing it at all in Gimp and now I have no interest in trying. It's their loss.

I'll try to remember to go back here and check where those settings are once I get around to trying to change them. If that ever happens...

I love those beards! They have a very graphite like feel to them while also being tangled and complex looking!

Not overly happy with this one. In my efforts to get the rainbow effect of the refracted highlight the rest of the skin colours went a bit muddy. :(

PS. And yes, I have painted this guy before.
