Lovely hair which you managed to capture wonderfully! :)

Many thanks all. :)
It was a damn good photo and that always helps. :aha:

Here's another 2D thing... Or is it????

Yes, in act of strange thread-swapping confusion I tried to do a 3D "scribbles" portrait of some Reddit face.
In one evening!! :argh:

I'm not sure I'll be doing it again. :nope:

Well that's impressive. I thought you'd just tried new hair on that first guy you did until I read your comments and looked more closely on the face.

The only reason I tried it was to experiment with the particle hair and as you can see I failed, abandoned that idea and instead just used the snakehook to messily pull "strands" out of a mesh. :P

I can sculpt a basic (albeit lumpy) face quite quickly now using that "three sphere then remesh" method but the hair and the materials/shaders are so frustrating, time-consuming and, most of all, hard work. :pout:

I had to have a break half way through this to watch yet more YouTube videos in order to learn how to apply different materials to one mesh. And despite reading/watching lots of things I still don't see the point of Face Sets either.
I accidently used it during this one and it caused so much unnecessary confusion. :dunno:
