well I did think that it might be, because her wrist would be more likely than her elbow, to bend like that. But uhm... no it's not recognisable as a hand... :S

And neither are these! :woohoo:

And the one on the right was very strangely twisted. Didn't look like a hand in the photo.

Hands and feet (and arms and legs) can look really really odd when you view them from a weird or very foreshortened angle... But I do think these are unmistakeable hands, even if they're not very detailed :)

This was a little trickier than it should have been...

Not sure why - the face/head looks fine to me. The only thing I react to is the base of the tub - it looks like we're seeing the curve of the underside at the bottom of the picture, which makes the whole tub look very small compared to the man.

Yeah, that "unfinished" bit of canvas does mess up the bottom of the tub. Didn't notice that at the time.

I always seem to have a bit of trouble with heads when they're at a tilted angle. I don't know why cos I end up rotating both the reference and the canvas anyway but it seems to make me doubt what I'm doing when I reset everything to the "normal" angle afterwards.

Do they still look wrong to you if you go back and look again a couple of days later? Maybe it's just that you've been working at them at another angle so basically any change in orientation will look a bit "off"?

Yeah, the curving giving appearance of the tub bottom, does cause that effect. But also, since it indicates that the tub tilts upward some where his head is laying, it's kind-of strange to see the over-flowing waters appear so symmetrical as well, more so in it's spacing. You would think one would see more nearer the lower portion, and less up near the top.

I get sketchy around pencils! ...=D

To be honest, a lot of things I do continue to look wrong for a long time.
I think it's because whenever I look at a pic I remember the process and all the problems and mistakes I made while doing it and that makes it hard to judge it. That's why I quickly move on to something else to forget about it. :brb:

And yes, the drips don't really make any literal sense in a practical way. That was just a last minute gimmick to add a bit of detail at the bottom. I was kinda thinking that it was the man who was melting and overflowing rather than the water. :)

Now I can forget about that one too.
