Not bad!
There's an anuual art thingywhatsit going on here this weekend, so I visited a few galleries today. One of the artists had painted dogs (and horses) and I'm telling you those dogs looked like a 5 year old had drawn them. But apparently she's an established artist, even if I don't get the charm of her work... Most of the work I saw was like that. One artist was pretty good but had ONLY paintings of sea+sky. Most with a weird yellowish colour in the water which didn't quite seem to match the colour of the sky even if it was also yellowish. Then there was a guy who mostly painted but also made the occassional scultpure. Loved his sculptures, his art was mostly birch trees. I found one picture I liked where it looked less like something from an amateur art class and more like there was real dimension to the pic.
Back to the dogs though, she'd also done some sort of square block dog with legs in the corner but head and tail also in the corners so it became sort of rombic. She'd named it Chivara - not sure if that was the dog's name or a reference to the african chiwara headdresses. It was kind of fun, though.
Me, I did a quickie sloppie thing today to use for a FB post (one I'm to post for the local green party, not on my own timeline).
