I’ve just had to go through my entire social media catalogue and edit his name so I don’t look like a complete numpty. Cheers Charlotte.

Certainly looks like him to my eyes, whatever way you spell his name.
I think his likeness is all about that big forehead and the way it curves round beneath the hair, and you have that perfectly here.
But the thing that really stands out for me are the crisp creases of the shirt. The work there really makes the image look polished and professional.

Too. Many. Ricks.

Yeah, I know we've seen his face far too many times but he posted the best photos again today so...

Also earlier in the week I was doing yet another scribble from a Skyrim screenshot.

I was trying out some different techniques and variations with some impressionist brushes for the foliage. With mixed results.
I like the trees on the right but those on the left are less successful. So either those brushes are a bit random or maybe I just need more practice. :P

If you work from left to right, maybe you just got better? :)

You. Can. Never. Have. Too. Many. Ricks.!!
Love his eyes! And the scene looks good to me, on my phone at least but I can’t see too many details to be honest. At the very least you’ve got a really cool palette going on there and a great composition!
I’ve just got a commission from a friend of mine, decent money but now I’m kind of crapping it because she wants a 20”x20” canvas print :(
Any who, portrait practice.

I kind of sort of did a scribble too. Or maybe not, since it's basically a paint-over. Bored Panda had another one of those "artist recreates what the romans looked like with super realistic portraits" (with the help of AI). And... as usual the portraits do look a lot like humans. Just not the humans they're meant to look like.

Someone commented that the noses where almost always wrong - personally I found the noses were the most common thing to be accurate. Eyes and mouths were almost always wrong. Hair sometimes. Ears too... And it seems so strange when the original sculptures are often extremely realistic to begin with. That said, I didn't choose the least accurate one for my paint-over. I still find it hard to colourise grey-scale images but at least I can mark it down as practice. Right? :S

Edit: Oops, I forgot to recolour his lips when I reworked that layer...

That looks really good. The warmth of the ears is very accurate.
The only part that looks a little off is the left edge of the neck/shoulder and a quick stroke of reflected light should solve that. :)
