No, go back and suffer all the problems that Willem Dafoe provides. :stare:

I already have, I'm just not particularly happy with it

I feel your pain. He wasn't nice.
I think you have a much better structure than my effort and the proportions/exaggerations seem good. Maybe just a little more shading at sides of the jawline would sharpen the chin to get even more of a likeness.

Misery, misery, misery

He has quite an interesting face with lots of sharp angles in most of those wrinkles. I feel like he can be approached in a number of very different ways just with the head shape alone, and I kind of ended up somewhere in the middle of all of them trying to achieve different things at the same time that don't quite work together.

It was the head shape where I seemed to fail, I just couldn't find the right silhouette for him. When I was zoomed in working on an eye, the nose tip or that creepy tongue behind the teeth I felt quite comfortable thinking that the likeness was there and then I zoomed out and thought, Who the hell is that?!

I thought his hair was harder than his wrinkles. And yes, I mixed two different styles/techniques. Not successfully. But I really wasn't sure how else to do the hair. Entirely flat didn't look OK either. But I do think it's a fair likeness. (The face, if not the hair!)

:woohoo:
That's a good one! :aha:
I think teefies really help and from looking at this I see that having all the features close together in the centre of the face is giving me a recognisable sense of his likeness and expression. Good choices.

Stoopid Jason Momoa and his stoopid face. I think I have completely lost the ability to draw anything remotely competantly
