You two are just saying these things to make the rest of us try, aren't you? :stare:

No. :nope:
But now you mention it...

COME ON!!
TRY!!!
;)

I wasn't terribly disappointed with the deleted one, although I was furious with the actual "deleting." It didn't look like him but I did learn some things about the shape of his head and how to push it further.
Will hopefully make another attempt tomorrow. How hard can it be to draw something you've already drawn once?

Well, I will have to admit defeat. My attempt ended up neither portrait nor caricature, but I'm posting mostly as an excuse to ask if anyone can tell me what the HECK is up with my tablet, or pen, or ArtRage???

It's like the pen "runs out of ink" - regardless of which tool I'm using. It means it gets super hard to control the lines as I've done before. It means lines insists on becoming super thin or the paint/color not to cover 100% of the area in some places. I dunno if it's the pen or tablet. It seems to be fixed spots on each canvas though, not fixed spots on my tablet as I first thought it might be... (But no it's not related to underlying texture as I usually work on a transparent canvas)

And while I'm ranting, why are pen nibs an inch long if you can only use 2 mm before you need to change? Am I missing something? :?

EDIT:  that was larger than I realised...

That sounds annoying!
Make sure you check it with some different software to try and eliminate that variable.
Keep us updated!

And nice picture! I like the angles in the jaw!

Right, I need to use krita for one of them Aywas pets anyhow... Good point/plan :p

Oh and now I've shown you mine you'll need to post yours too. Well, your new one, in Val's case since the old one doesn't exist anymore...

:eyeroll:
Do I really need to answer that?

I did consider putting a Batman logo in the background just to explain who it's supposed to be but that's cheating, isn't it? ;)

Looks nothing like him and the deleted one was better!

Looks enough like him for me to recognise him now that I've tried sketching him too :P
Honestly I think the face is similar but not the shape of the head... Then again, exaggerating his features in any way is hard since he doesn't seem to have any of those "uncommonly long face/nose/chin" or "closely spaced eyes" or "huge ears/nose" etc...

I frequently get those Carradine actors mixed up so I hope I've picked the right one. (Surely google doesn't get mixed up too! :))

He has a great face to play with and not as frustrating as others, so he's well worth a go. Although now I'm about to click "Submit", I'm thinking that I could have done some more subtle shading at the side of the nose.
Nope, too late! :silly:

Edit: What am I talking about? Of course it's not too late! :stare:
