Crow's nest of things and stuff

I'm glad you felt she was a little short in the waist area too. I felt it was too squished but didn't want to make the change with out some reassurance . I've now extended her body and generally gone about making changes to her. The tentacle has also had a bit of updating but I still need to work on the contact point between it and her.

At the moment the maelstrom/spinny water spiral of storminess needs another pass to put in some details and generally make it more spiral like. The foreground water nears a fair amount of work. The clothes/armor/just a few shells and things needs working up, the only bit that's sort of there is the belly piece. The headpiece needs some work though the awkward coming towards us angle of the main head fins/frills is a little difficult.

I'll probably bulk up the other guy a little, though the Brad Rigney version is probably the most bulky version so being a little less extreme wouldn't hurt.

I think she's coming along wonderfully! Just watch the fingers on the hand holding the tentacle, the fingers are tapering off a bit quickly.
Regarding the bulk, I'd only ever seen that image you showed by Rigney but if that's bigger than normal, not making him quite so bulky makes perfect sense :)

This is looking great, Claude. I think is coming along nicely. But her right hand/arm on the tentacle, though foreshortened, may still be a little too small when compared to her left. And the fin on her left forearm might look a little better if it tapered down more like the other side. The highlight on it is also attracting the eye at the moment. ... Look forward to seeing the finished piece. :)

Thanks guys.

How's her right hand looking now? Better, worse?

I'm yet to properly get to the left arm but hopefully I'll be able to sort out the fin when I do.

Better but still rather too slim fingers, I feel. (Though it might be 'cause I gots chubby ones myself!)

I agree, (not about Charlottes chubby digits :) ) but that her fingers on the tentacle would probably be wrapping around the tentacle some and be bit thicker, when you compare them to her fingers on her left hand.

Thanks Charlotte :)

I've made a start on the other one now to have a bit of a break before I finish the first one off.

Also, how do you guys go about pricing your work? Right now I have no idea how much to charge for these banners and things.

Yes sir, looking good. Like the armor work on the new guy too. :)

Sorry, can't help ya with the pricing thing. I'm sure there are some here that might be able to help with that.
