A large part of someone's likeness is in the eyes so you've made the task more challenging with the goggles.
But I think it'll be more recognisable when you get that crazy white hair in. That'll definitely help sell the picture as Mad Scientist Doc Brown! :)

Great work! Hard to critique at this stage but the goggle on our left looks bigger than the right side which is backwards perspective. The right side should be bigger because it's closer to us.

Thanks guys,
I've worked this up some more but it seems the further I go the less it looks like Mr Lloyd, still at least it looks human eh? I'm gonna try to pull it back to look more like him in the next pass - wish me luck!

Hmm, is it one of those boxes where a toy snake springs out? :) But maybe it's a REAL snake!

And Doc does look much better with the crazy hair in.

Great work! For the doc I think the hi light/rim light on the top of his head is bright and could be toned down a bit as it looks a bit artificial.

Haven't really been feeling my entry for Exodos challenge recently so following Micro's advice on Cranks post I thought I'd try working up an image from a dark background to push my darker values (and coincidentally the darker half of my mind).
Another attempt at limiting the use of the 'quick fixes' like the undo command and hue/saturation/contrast corrections like in my entry for the Scorpio challenge.
I'm trying to work from a darker base using opacity to build up the lighter values of the forms.

Great work. A bit hard to critique at the moment but values are looking pretty good. Her right arm does look a bit too big. Speaking of values remember the half way to black rule. So on a scale of 1-10 if the local value is 5 then the shadow side is roughly 7.5. I learned that from Scott Robertson's book How to render.
