Good point Val, I never look at my tab either. It took quite a while to get the hang of working on a tab for me as I'm so used to rotating my paper to achieve straight lines and the like. Perhaps I'm over thinking things again.
One thing I do struggle with when working digitally is scale. I try to work zoomed out as much as possible when 'constructing' my drawings so I can view the whole image but I invariably zoom in and loose all sense of proportion from one part of the image to the next.
I'm going to continue to paste my drawings over my ref periodically to check to see if I'm improving with accuracy.
We'll see how I get on eh?

I think the scale difference between the tablet and monitor could be an issue. I like to think that that's why I struggle with linework (any small wiggle on a 6x4 tablet is amplified on a bigger screen) but I suspect I'm groping for excuses there. ;) I should just admit my failings!

I'm revisiting my New Dawn vampire slayer, I quite liked this character so I thought it would be cool to give her another go.
I also liked working on a brown/grey ground (even though I got rid of all of it in the challenge) for some reason it reminds me of the old drawn Bond film posters.

And yes, the beetlejuice stockings will be making another appearance ;)

That's a great expression you've got there. It's sort of cute but dangerous! :)

And you have a commission so quick?! Not fair! Whatever they want to pay ... double it!

Great work. For the life on mars I think a bit of atmospheric fog would help give more depth and mood overall. New dawn is looking good!
