Some quick Harry Potter sketches done after some horrible abandoned failures for this month's challenge. :(

The Kreacher one was probably a little too quick so I may come back to it some time and tighten it a little more so that it looks like a "proper" picture rather than the scribble it currently is.

I'm a huge fan of Cumberbatch, so I love both of those portraits that you did! I think the eyes and mouth in both have been captured really well. I think the nose(s) might be throwing me off just a little though. It looks like we're at eye level given the rest of the portrait for both, but for the nose it seems from a slightly lower angle with the length (or width? Not sure what the right term would be) of the nostrils. So maybe to shorten that space of the nostrils or downturn the nose a little--I don't think by much, just a fraction.

Cheers, Madi.

One of my numerous bad habits is to do generic, default noses that have little connection to any likeness or reference. I think I need to concentrate on observation more but my impatience is legendary. :)

These Harry Potter sketches are great. The composition of the second Hermione is particularly nice.

I agree. I think both hermione pics are recogniseable but I like how they show her at different ages. the last one could even be post-hogwarts :)

Any an all misspellings are henceforth blamed on the cats.

Thanks, Dave and em... and Charlotte. :)

I spent a bit more time adding some extra detail to the Kreacher pic...

...and here's one last (younger) Benedict trying to combine everything I learned from previous pics.
I've definitely had enough of his face now.
