There are plenty of things to be scared of but digital painting isn't one of them.
What's the worst that can happen?
And if/when it does happen... Click UNDO!
Problem solved. :)

That first pic with the exterior shot of the doorway is a good one that's capturing my eye and imagination.
It's very atmospheric and looks like an establishing shot from a thriller movie. I think the bad guy will be coming out of that door any second now...

*waits on the edge of my seat*

All CG artwork is cheating! Didn't you know that all we do is add various effects to photos? The computer does all the work anyhow, were all talentless here.

One of my recent posts on FB received some great responses when I told some one that it was digitally produced, the comment was left by someone who I actually quite respect and like under normal circumstances too.

Them: Is this just painted or is it digitally worked on as well??
Me: Purely digital *****, but this is just a low res copy I'm using as a profile pic. The previous post is the full size one. Hope you're well!

Them: Oh riiiiiiiiight.......i thought you were bashing out some hardcore paintings really fast!!!! Very cool in any case

"in any case"? "IN ANY CASE"? Whats that supposed to mean? Why does that make it so much worse?
It's like saying:
"very cool but why bother - it's not like its real art where you actually have to learn a skill over many years"

No smudge tool was harmed in the making of this image.

Friends can be very good at hurting us when they try to be nice about something they don't really understand. (And Banj might even point out that I should say "friends"...)

Any an all misspellings are henceforth blamed on the cats.
