In this last piece, what did you do to create the slight depth of field between foreground and character? It is ever so slightly out of focus, which adds a great sense of depth.

Plus, he reminds me a bit like the iron giant! One of favourite animations!!

It's a lens effect in photoshop it replicates tilt shift where you draw focus around a certain area by blurring around it.

Looking great Spud, really cool details and designs for the characters. :woohoo: I used to use 3ds max awhile ago too, made a few images with it, dabbled in zbrush2 too.
