Thanks everybody. I hate doing clean lines because to me it takes away from my image and makes it seem flat and lifeless. Making the brush thicker has really helped me find my way during the process. If things get to messy i sometimes erase big parts of it to where the lines barely show through. Then I just sketch over it. I find that the barely visible lines also help me figure out the image.

Mute, I'm trying out your way of sketching and absolutely loving it! Feels like I'm drawing again rather than simply defining areas and colouring. Don't get me wrong I've still a way to go and in no way am I trying to copy your style but it finally feels natural again. Thanks bud.

Thats awesome Atto. I wouldn't say that it's my style because I've seen other people do it and have learned somethings from watching people draw (such as Dave Rapoza and Feng Zhu) . It doesn't matter if you use someone else's style as long as it works for you then go for it. But I think it's more of a technique then a style. You can use the same process but depending on how you draw things it could develop into a style.

I'm almost done with showing how I generally go about from sketch to values. Don't know if I should just post it here or on a new thread.

If you care to make it in the shape of a tutorial or workshop thing there's a whole section to put it in, if you wish! :)

Agree with the rest, nice work. The limited warm coloring really does it for this piece.
