Yeah I see what you mean Dom, though I still think it might add too much in too regular a way (It's also hard to tell for sure when the color blobs are there and sorta fool the eye to think there's even more there :P)

Any an all misspellings are henceforth blamed on the cats.

Domtopia: Great suggestion, just implemented it :)

Charlotte Ahlgren: Thank you.

..........

Here's the latest update on the portrait, added some more butterflies, smoothened out the brushwork and pushed the colors a bit more...:

Looking quite nice. You may want to take a look at the necklace, particularly the jewels. Namely the left side, (her right) The gems appear to be tilted toward the viewer and also only touching her on the side with the shadow. I would think they would be lying on the skin, which would give them different angles then they are now.

I get sketchy around pencils! ...=D

Some updates; First, a character commission piece, followed by a character design from imagination, a PoseManiacs study, and some sketches for some environments based on photo reference:

Some updates, did some drawings from imagination and began on a new painting, 'Artemis'. The figure was referenced from GentlemansClubStock from DeviantArt:

Like your latest posts especially the portrait. Really like the lighting.
I do have a couple of issues with the archer. If she is shooting up at a slight angle the draw arm should be inline with the arrow and her head should be tilting up along the arrow of if she is shooting straight her bow arm should be dropped and the arrow horizontal.

Also her upper torso looks rather long to me.

Agree with Kodabble on the archery tips. Plus, if you drop the bow & arm some, the upper limb of the bow would show better, which is blending into the tree in the BG at the moment. I also know you just started this one, but also watch her breast. They appear to be angled directly toward the viewer, but her torso is angled to the right, which shows in her armpit area.

Kodabble: Thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to revise it by the next update based on your input.

Digital Dave: Thanks, good point regarding the breasts, will revise it shortly.

Here's the current progress on Artermis. Didn't do much work on the figure, concentrated mostly on the environment. The grass was ridiculously time consuming to paint and they still have some ways to go, but it's getting there.
