I think this is much better CG! The colour looks much more natural, just with that little tweak. I also think the ankles look better.

Kodabble's suggestion are good ones I think, so when you get to it I would like to watch the shell develop. Lovely work so far!

Kodabble: Thanks, I tend to refine an image from the top to the bottom when I paint. Good point about the lighting as well, I made some changes on the image based on your input.

Tons of updates, been extremely creative and productive as of late. First, here's the current progress on Aphrodite, it's almost finished:

Lovely work, fantastic color palette. And the new sketches look very promising as well.

The portrait is looking strong, as Dave has said.

You have captured her features nicely, especially the smile. I think she's looking very elegant already. Plus, the flowers in the hair is a great idea. One that I think will make the image pop out.

Started painting the portrait, here is the current progress:

Not completely satisfied with the skin tones, a bit monochromatic but I tend to focus more on values in the early stages.

Been working on the portrait piece, here is the latest update:

You could put another point interest in the bottom right to balance it out a bit, if you wanted. That way there will be a three point shape to guide the eye across the piece.

I was thinking something like this. But I think you're right, there are already more points on interest. I just thought forming a compositional shape might bring something to it. It was just a thought.
