I see that Blender 2.80 now has a "proper" release version instead of the ongoing beta. I'm not sure I'll be able to run that lovely Eevee renderer but I may download it anyway to try and have a go with the equally lovely grease pencil.

This just popped up on my YouTube thing.

The Blender plugin is currently free but I suspect a price will appear when the beta is over.

I had a little play with Mischief the other day. I have the free version and it's one of the things I mess about with occasionally and then forget about. Anyway my rubbish little scribbling inspired me to look on the website to see if there'd been an update and.... they completely killed it last August?!
Did I miss that? Or did I hear about it, complain and then completely forget in an Alzheimer's kind of way?
Either way I was annoyed (perhaps annoyed again!) I guess it's just another Sculptris... apart from the fact that you can still get that one as well as similar alternatives. But Mischief was kind of unique.
Oh well, back to ArtRage again. :)

I thought I had mentioned it on the forum somewhere, but I just did a search and can't find any posts. I'm pretty sure I did leave the link in this thread for a while with a note that it had been scrapped and was no longer available

Possible alternatives with an infinite canvas are Milton (which is free): www.miltonpaint.com/ and leonardo (which is cheap, not free, and currently beta): www.getleonardo.com/

well, I can't recall hearing about it either. Mischief being euthanized I mean. Maybe Banj remembers it in an Alzheimer's kind of way?
The other two might be worth looking into, though. Not that I'm not fairly happy with ArtRage.

I knew it had been killed off because I hang around the Foundry forum and they are the ones that killed it off. It's news that I'm sure I would have mentioned somewhere though as it was relevant to this site (and we gave away a copy of it in our only prize winning challenge to date).

It was originally bought by The Foundry for the underlying ADF tech that was used for the infinite canvas. They used that for another finally abandoned VR sculpting app Kanova (still available for free on Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/730550/Kanova/ ). The possibility is that the sculpting may make it's way in to Modo, although I found Kanova pretty much unusable due to terrible performance, and not something I would ever choose to use over already existing sculpting apps.

EDIT - Perhaps I linked to the announcement on Twitface at the time :hmm:
