Yeah, but just getting a response back letting someone know would have been thoughtful though. :)

Again, these guys aren't doing themselves any favours with their adoring fans here!

Such a pity. As has been remarked upon, this is a really nice little community (for now of course!).

Everything's on the right!!!

You implying we'll get unnice in future? huh?

j/k

Btw I'm sure the magazine staff are as sorry to see the forum section of the magazine go as they were to see the forum itself go. But at least they don't seem to have had to cut down on the number of pages while removing "our" content, so at least they have stuff to fill the gap with.

Any an all misspellings are henceforth blamed on the cats.

Oh, I agree and hold none of them in contempt. And even understand why an e-mail wasn't sent back, at least not until they made the closure announcement. But afterwards?... Just saying. :)

Hope to see some of them make their way over here and stop in to say hey.

(don't burn me at the stake here for saying the following) But I was really just there for the forum- I have never even seen an IFX Magazine here in Canada. I was there for the community of artist that the site gave me access to. So really not too upset about the move at all. If anything I think we'll be able to break away from IFX and create something 10 times the awesome that it ever was. Change is good.

IFX got me into digital art, so I can't claim that it had nothing to do with my being on the forum. However, in principle I completely agree with you Rorke! This community has hit upon something really good and long may it continue!

I'm like you Rorke. I never heard of it and one day stumbled upon the forums while 'self educating' through google tutorial searches on digital painting of the not photo manipulation variety. Fell in love with the community on the forums and honestly felt the magazine to have less to offer for all my burning questions about how to do this stuff!

I love you guys and thanks to all who have and continue to do so, help me along the way to learning. I think I'm making progress... though no where near on the level of Forrest! That kid is impressive...

Has anyone gotten the new magazine in Europe? As the US is an issue behind I would be curious to know if the forums are mentioned at all in the next issue. I may have wrote a strongly worded opinion letter to the magazine this month. Not that I expect my letter in there or anything, but I do think at the very least it should be mentioned in the magazine. :S

I haven't seen anything in issue #112, though admittedly I've only leafed through it since I'm not done reading the previous issue yet... I'm not sure they'll publish anything with regards to the forum but if they do it might be an issue or two in the future, yet.
