I think I prefer Artrage's gloop pen to the ink pen when it comes to inking.

It pools ink when you let the pen stop, so you get some nice natural looking line variation. There is a preset for it called "Liquid Flow" designed for inking.

Whaaat???

The gloop pen is actually useful for something?

Well, you live and learn. :)
I've just had a go with my fat finger and it is indeed an interesting, inky effect. I still don't understand what the settings do but I may try a bit more with it in future.

I mostly use it to make certain kinds of animal spots on aywas pets....

like this one, if I remember correctly (it's from 2015 one of the first colorations I did on Aywas)

Been having more fun than success. :)

Those pooling drips are quite interesting to play with (yet difficult to control) and I like the way it smudges with the palette knife in a convincing dirty way (I only tried that after posting.)
However I wish it stayed "wet" so that separate strokes could blend together. It's not really an issue with blacks but if you're using a lighter colour or opacity then you only get the dry, overlaid look.
I suppose you could mix it with the watercolour tool though. :hmm:
May try that next time. :)

Tried the gloop pen for the outline... I had to use it REAAAAALLLLLLY slowly, whereas it looks like you could draw some quick lines with it, Val?
