It contains the iron ingots but you need a "nearby" forge to turn them into nails and fittings. I'm currently swimming back and forth to the Solitude blacksmith and it's testing my self-imposed ban on fast travel.

I've now built up the main hall of Windstad, just the outside so far as I'm not carrying the stuff required for interior furnishings. There's still no sign of the manly housecarl around here yet, although I have met him in Morthal, so maybe he'll only turn up when he has a bed.

Never mind, I've left all that behind as I'm currently back in Whiterun delivering some special stuff for Ysolda. And I'm having another follower switcheroo after sending that double-dagger guy back home for now. I've got quite a few quests that take me along that western road towards Markarth so I thought I'd take Uthgerd and then I could let her join The Blades. She might like that seeing as she constantly moans about being rejected by The Companions. She'd better like it.

After that I plan on going to some of the Orc Strongholds over there and if that goes as planned I may come back with Borgakh tagging along.
