Sadly the planets in Mass Effect are not that varied.

Just a little old square of land with three interesting points on the map and three interesting points not on the map.
But on the plus side I have now remembered how to do the combat. Keep pressing space to pause time and order your squad about and pick a squad that has special talents. :aha:

So I have now successfully completed that little side mission by killing all the baddies in the three research bases although the final fight did get a bit nervy when Liara decided to have "a little lie down" after being shot too many times. :dead:
And she's the one with the best powers! :eyeroll:

Two days after being told that my package was delivered and signed for, this morning my package... was delivered. :dunno:
Either their tracking software lives in the future or perhaps it's been set up to tell little lies in order to "meet" Amazon's shipping deadlines. :paranoid:

Either way I don't care any more because I have a controller. :woohoo:
And it has those little back paddle flapper buttons! :excited:
I didn't expect that.

Now I just need it to work correctly. :stare:

I do know what a flapper dress is. More or less. :dumb:

It works! :aha:
And the sticks are much more sensitive than the last one. That one really must have been some cheap tat.
Now it's much easier to walk for a bit instead of going straight into run-mode and I do like a slow walk around when I'm exploring.

I've just had a little walk around with Lara and... I'm collecting those mushrooms again! The same ones that I missed out on in the last game. But this time it's for plot reasons.

Warning: Spoiler!

It's very annoying to get a timed quest which won't tell you WHERE to go in your two minutes of time.... *grumbles*

No, the quest marker is exactly what's missing. I tried to switch to another main quest and then the game only found the quest location for the previous quest... :eyeroll:

So I went to the anomaly and got one of them high paying quests instead. Quite good payouts. It just cost me my life....

Hmm, is that supposed to be me?

Not too bad, my lady. Still needs a bit of work so just post it in the WIPs thread for now. :aha:

Yes, with a controller in my hand I can return to Vampyr and get through those two boss battles. :pirate:
I didn't want to risk it on keyboard because there are a few too many attack options for my cramping fingers and if you add in the way the game auto saves then I could have left myself in a very tricky spot with no ammo or blood. So better to be patient.
And now onwards I go to the next (SPOILER)

*ponders if flying would include less swerving and madly swaying about trying to aim at a point far far away, in No Man's Sky, if I wasn't on keyboard*
