Except I never know anything about the finances of the movies...
I'm guessing i didn't find it very interesting but still liked some of the cgi/scenery/costumes and stuff...although green spandex isn't all that exciting... I have a vague memory of some sort of alien court/base/something...

The thing that really killed it for me was watching Ryan Reynolds trying to keep a straight face while reciting that ridiculous doggerel oath. Those infantile rhymes are even worse than our failed limericks!

We seemed to have a problem getting to the last line.
Other than that the poetic quality was exceptional. :nods:

and on TV tonight, on my almost 15 channels.... Red Dawn. It's the only thing I can't tell straight away that I'm uninterested in. There's an episode of Midsomer Murders as well, but I'm fairly sure I've seen every single one of those... And I bought a couple of DVDs the other day, maybe I should choose one of them instead... One was called The Duel and the other Skiptrace. Never heard of either of them before buying them. (But they were cheap....)

I was gonna say that one of those was Spielberg's first film ... but that was "Duel" without a "The". (Thanks for that, Google, you stopped me being wrong again. :))

My TV tonight will be showing me episode 2 of Killing Eve, although I am going to record Gods Of Egypt even though it looks absolutely preposterous!

Gods of Egypt could have been really cool as an old school "matinee" type of adventure, but it also tries to be kick-ass action, which sort of spoils it a bit. It's like the visuals don't match the genre, but they are some neat visuals in my opinion. (though I'm not sure why there are so many white folk in ancient Egypt, particularly among their gods...)

Didn't you know that Egyptian Gods were sometimes Scottish and occasionally Danish?
I bet they watched Shetland too and just picked up the accents.

Well if I recall correctly, Set is described as being pale and a redhead (and mean). So I guess he might be Irish or something :P
