Looks like a predictable punchup. :)
The rest of the film was so good that I thought it deserved a bigger climactic scene at the end.

One of my pet peeves with some movies is when they seem to get smaller and smaller when really you need a story to escalate in scale, consequence, danger and reward.
A recent example of this is Star Trek: Beyond which has a big, spectacular action sequence 30mins in that feels like something you'd get at the end of a movie, and after that each subsequent set piece gets smaller until it all ends with ... a predictable punchup. :)

Not a movie but the Handmaid's Tale is now on Swedish TV. I saw the first episode. Rather dark and (hopefully) implausible scenario but still kind of interesting in how people react under oppression. Can't help but wonder who wanted that dystopian system put in place, though - not even the privileged seem to enjoy it.

Anyone else see it?
The wierdness of the suppressive order/system remind me of the hunger games series, but I haven't watched those through. I just find the whole idea that kids have to kill each other for entertainment in order for others to be fed so very alien, I don't think humankind would ever end up there no matter how twisted we get :P (Maybe I got the whole idea wrong, though.)

The Handmaid's Tale is one my favourite books, I love all of Margaret Atwood's work ... well, except that crappy Angel Catbird comic she puts her name to.

We've seen all of season one of the TV version here and it's a damn good show. Looking forward to seeing where they take the story in the new series.

But I still don't like The Hunger Games though. :nope:

You of all people, a victim of spider stalking that narrowly missed being murderised to death, should appreciate how terrifying that thing is. Moments later he leaped on that bird and slaughtered it, ripping it to shreds and laughing maniacally in his little high pitched voice.
