Last night I watched The Girl In The Spider's Web and I fell asleep three times. Three!?
Can't even remember what happened while I was awake.

Being awake is definitely over-rated.

definitely.
is that the same girl who has a dragon tattoo? Because I think that was on here last night, with Daniel Craig and everyone trying to speak Scandinavian names in English... I watched for a brief spot.

Same "Girl..." but not the same actress.

This one is the fourth one based one the book that was written by someone else because the original author was already dead before the trilogy became successful.
Gotta keep the cash rolling in somehow!

And tonight I watched Solo for the second time and stayed awake throughout. :)

I think the trilogy was a success while he was alive - at least here in Sweden ;) But from what I remember he didn't finish the fourth book so someone else did that.

As much as I like the work of David Fincher, I would say his adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is one of his weakest films and not a patch on the original Swedish adaptation.

As someone who pretty much always watch movies with subtitles (I don't usually watch Swedish ones) - I don't get this whole remake thing. But I think I gave that rant before...

Apparently there are people out there that wont watch a film if it contains subtitles or is dubbed in any way :eyeroll:

Though honestly dubbed movies can be a bit jarring. Doesn't even always work well for animated films. (Maybe because the Swedish voices they choose are not as good as the originals, for like Disney movies... I'm pretty sure the movie companies have to approve the voice overs but I still blame it on the Swedish industry not realising how important the casting can be...)

I'm fine with subtitles and usually put them on anyway, even if they're speaking English.
But dubbing... :nope:
I dislike that greatly. When I started watching Dark on Netflix the first thing I had to do was go into the options to change the language audio back to German.
And I've still only watched the first episode of that.
