Pfft! Who needs consistent logic in a film?

I have just watched Into The Spider-Verse and found it a bit frustrating. The story was OK but those gimmicks were infuriating. Everytime I was just about to get into it something managed to annoy me... the jerky animation with variable framerates, the inconsistent use of line, the chromatic aberration. If it was a video game I'd want to go into the settings to turn half of it off!
And then when they introduced some more characters rendered in completely different art styles I suddenly felt like I was browsing DeviantArt 10 years ago.

At least it was different from the usual Marvel stuff.

Sounds like I'd prefer the usual Marvel stuff :P

I saw Captain America (I think) in another movie the other day... "Push". Kind of interesting but felt incomplete. More like part of a TV series...

Just watched How to Train your Dragon 2 on DVD. It's been laying there forever - I guess I thought I'd seen it already. Anyway... it would be really nice to be able to watch animated movies without crying my eyes out. Really. :eyeroll:

At least it wasn't the chromatic aberration bringing tears to your eyes.

Nope :p

and now I've watched the last two episodes of a Swedish "documentary" series about supernatural stuff. I don't know why I even watched all the episodes even though they're at least short... They seem so pointless. Surely something more interesting and informative could be done? The last episode was about vampires, and pretty much the only thing they said (three times, though) was that the original vampire was different from today's vampires in books and films. (no, really???) They also described the original vampires pretty much like zombies without even once actually making that connection

Oh well.... I have a headache. Time for pain killers and bed.

Apparently they're sticking closer to the books than the games. The two different fan groups are already arguing about little details. :eyeroll:

I haven't read the books and STILL haven't installed the first game so I guess the TV show will be my first experience of it. :)
