Because "soon" is relative.

Poor Myer-muh. Brokeded. :(

There is a trailer for the follow up to Prometheus. I haven't posted that because I have been avoiding watching it and looking at any info on the film before I see it.

Myer-muh. .

I guess I'll avoid posting it too then... I can't remember anything much of it anyhow.

You can post it in spoiler tags if you want. I already saw the thumbnail for the video which was pretty much a massive spoiler on it's own.

So over the last week or so i saw Passengers, and Arrival

anyone else watched these two yet?

I watched Arrival last night and enjoyed it very much even though it's not quite as good as the original short story.
I think they expanded it quite well to the full movie-length with the extra tension and drama, and the way they visualised the creatures was impressive. Yet I couldn't help but be slightly disappointed that they cut out nearly all of the science that made the story interesting. Yeah, it was nice to hear a mention of Sapir-Whorf but I was really looking forward to seeing the characters have a long discussion about the Principle Of Least Time. But I guess I'm weird like that. :P
Still, it was a nice change from all that noisy Marvel stuff that Hollywood throws at us.

I like the original Iron Man and the first Captain America was OK (spoilt a little by that rubbery Red Skull) but all that relentless Avengers stuff bores me a bit.

I think that the quality of a movie is inversely proportional to the number of superheroes in the story. :)

Edit: The only ensemble superhero film that seems to work for me is Watchmen but I suppose Dr Manhattan is the only "real" superhero in that so my formula still works. :confident:

:P I like how they interact in the avengers movies.

I just saw (the end of) Godzilla from 1998. If Godzilla laid 200 eggs each containing a female with 200 fertilised eggs already in her body why did they keep calling her a "he"? Since when do males lay eggs?

It's Easter!
Everyone has eggs!

I was more concerned with that Godzilla's thin legs. Left me shaking my head mumbling something about cross-sectional area and strength to weight ratios. :shakefist:

Have you seen the more recent version?

They showed one from 2014 where it took place in Japan (I guess the premier pretty much coincided with Fukushima?) just the other day but I decided to spare daddy from having to watch it :P

and I guess Easter eggs explains it all...
