I'm busy reading words, and words are nice so I've been told.

Words are very unnecessary. They can only do harm. :confident:

I haven't purchased any books in ages, but while working on the basement, I did come across all my older stuff. While un-boxing them, I even decided I might re-visit some favorites. So I pulled out 'The Crystal Shard' by R. A. Salvatore, and put it in my backpack. ... Been in there for couple/few months now, and haven't opened it yet.

I get sketchy around pencils! ...=D

*just discovered that one of the three books she bought with the xmas money, was "volume 2"*

:stare:

Edit: And no, one of them wasn't "volume 1". But I have now ordered four more Witcher books, though it'll take up to 2 weeks for them to be delivered. (One of them had a longer delivery time than the others for some reason.)

Well that Witcher book you read is really the third one so maybe you just like things in a different order. :dumb:

I'm just over half way through The Magicians. I vaguely recall watching the TV show and thinking that the book would probably be better. But it isnt.

:stare:
It seemed like the first one, when I bought it and you said it WAS. Anyway, I looked up the order and figured I might as well continue with what I assume is "Ciri's story" and then I can ready the earlier stories at a later time if I haven't grown tired of the books by then...

I don't remember either books or TV shows called the magicians... :dumb:

It's the first "novel" but not the first book. :confident:
And you know most of those early stories from season one of the TV show although they didn't do all of them. My favourite of those was the one with Essi Daven and that didn't make it to the screen. :(

The Magicians is a bit like teenage Harry Potter from New York goes to university and obsesses about some Narnia-style fantasy world. And I'm still waiting for the story to start.
