All the usual brilliant work, em...
I think the hair in the second pic is very well done. As someone who always falls into the tedious trap of painting every strand I really appreciate how you've managed to get both form and detail in such a loose, sketchy way.
And the warmth in the first pic is lovely as well.

Valence - It's about big basic shapes with largish brushes, and a few strategically placed strands.
Banj - Very sad, indeed. New Frontier was my favourite series of the past 2 decades.

em you make all of them seem effortless, but each one nails the impression with amazing details, and drawing them distorted signifies that's your style, but that you're not just replicating a photo perfectly.

I like the style of Bertrand how it has a vintage feel, while Ginnifer feels bright and energetic, always great! B)

Excellent Lucy Liu.
I always think it's really brave to do a female portrait/caricature with such a dominant nose or jawline.
It's so easy to lose control and end up with a masculine type of face, but this works perfectly.
I also like that bit of glare that implies a background that you haven't even painted.

microscopi - the aging (there are some overlayed textures) and subtle tinting of the Bertrand Russell were an afterthought. The original greyscale underpainting very done very quickly and loosely.

Valence - it can be a tricky balance, but shying away from strong features that are there will detract from the likeness (maybe part of the reason so few entries in the recent Caricaturama contest looked like her).

As long as there are other feminine features there to use - eyelashes, lips, hair - then it's usually okay.

A tinted sketch of model Sara Sampaio.

Unsure about the likeness, but she has an interesting forward thrust to her lower face that made me decide on a profile view.
