Haven't had much time for painting recently (again!) so I was hoping I might get one of those pencilly sketches done this afternoon... until I broke a drinking glass which sliced a small chunk out of my finger which then left me trying to stop the bleeding for nearly 90 minutes! :pout:

I suppose I could have sketched something in the blood but that would have ruined my sketchbook. :P

soooo... I decided to see if I could do something more complex with 3D builder. Unfortunately it has nothing custom except to make different geometric base shapes and add or subtract them from each other, which doesn't work too well with more organic things. Like rocks (which, ironically, are not so organic...)

BUT I saw that it can open wrl files! :woohoo: I can import and update old stuff! Or so I thought.
"VRML Parsing error. Cannot load any 3D objects from VRML"

So why does it list wrl files to begin with? HUH? :stare:

EDIT: The 3D Printer App thingy can open some of my wrl files if I open the file from the file explorer (that is, it seems to be set to the default opening app...). But that reminds me 3D builder &Co. have z as the y axis. :nope: so it can open a file and display it all wrong. yay. Also that's just for viewing/printing, not editing.... *sigh*

What you mean is that they use Z up (which is how 3d printers are oriented) not Y up. Z is still Z it's just the orientation of the axis is different.:confident:

Same thing :p
But I don't want to PRINT anything, I want to play around with stuff that could possibly one day be used online or in games or something. I still think 3D Builder is stupid and annoying for not opening my wrl files.

There was this article on Bored Panda about animals getting stuck when eating or looking for food. And this was the very first pic... made me laugh :D (But I don't know why there's a hole in the food bowl...:hmm:)

Because it isn't a food bowl, it's the little room where they make their bed, minus the roof that clips in on top.
