He was just going to have the regular human two arms until I decided to move one into a different position, then when I went to erase the original arm I thought it would be a bit more interesting if he had four arms instead. I'm now debating whether or not to redraw it all and change the composition to something a little more dynamic.

Hmm, why don't I try to put in a background behind characters I've already painted on a single layer and magic that's already been painted on that same single layer?
