Those first colours are looking fine and they immediately give a sense of solidity and scale to the structures.

As a pathetic Walking Dead fanboy, Kingdom means just one thing to me and I've wanted to do some Shiva fan art for a while so this seems like a good, albeit obvious, opportunity for that.
I never realised how hard tigers were to draw until my numerous failed sketches and I ended up needing much more reference than I wanted to get it to look this bad. :S

Also, I'm not confident about finishing as I'm committed to an acrylic painting that takes priority over digital doodling but I'll give it a go. :)

I feel your pain Val as today I started on an acrylic landscape myself that also needs to take precedence.
I think your tiger looks good - a good choice to put it behind that figure in shadow - those muscles on big cats are a nightmare!
I hope you get to finish with such a great start it would be a shame not to.
Do we get to see the trad piece?

I really wanted to chip in with an appropriate Locutus GIF but couldn't find the one I wanted. :shakefist: Stoopid Google Images. :(

But that looks great, Banj. Epic and intriguing.
And so many polygons! I can almost feel the lag. :)

Do we get to see the trad piece?

It's nothing to get excited about, just a doggy/portrait thing for a family member. They asked nicely so I may as well have a go. I doubt they'd want it plastered over the internet, though, and I don't think I would either looking at its current state.
My acrylic stuff is a little naive. Picking colours off a photoshop wheel is so much easier than actual mixing. And don't get me started on blending! :(

A little more on this.....

I'm really not happy with the very boring structure of that front element and the landscape to the rear looks all wrong in regards to scale but now I've got to spend my day editing images from yesterdays photo shoot for some friends. I'll have to see if I can change it up tonight.

And don't get me started on blending! :(

Its what fingers were made for Val!

There's no need to say it.
Really. I already know.
No, don't say it. Yes, I know you want to.
Ok, then, I'll say it, shall I? Here goes...

"The head's too big."
"AGAIN!!"
:)
I'll get around to fixing it. Promise. But will I learn? Probably not.

Don't like Shiva's eyes either. Maybe I'll fix them too. Maybe. :)

That looks very impressive, Atto. I can't even imagine how to get those crisp and precise edges, not to mention all those fiddly interlocking teeth. It would drive me mad with frustration and then failure.
