Eeep we had no post on the 10th!
And I doubt I'll have time for anything inky before Friday, although I might manage a ballpoint sketch on Thursday. Maybe. (I won't be home so probably not online much.)

Any an all misspellings are henceforth blamed on the cats.

i should be able to get a sketch done tonight. I had an emergency last night and was at the emergency vet until 9:45pm but I fully intend to chill tonight and do a little bit of inkiness (totally not ink)

A scribble, can we scribble? If not it’s another broken inktober rule
Going offline to watch The Martian now

If it is a rule, keep breaking them! ;) ... I sometimes prefer to see scribbles, doodles, whatyamabobs, etc.

I get sketchy around pencils! ...=D

After seeing Banj's disappointment at the state of modern film-making I thought I'd take it upon myself to cheer him up by doing his favourite Star Wars character.
He'll love that. :)

It's really tough to do subtle shading in Biro. :(

.....

And I like your scribble, Kaz, it's certainly allowed. That drippy ink looks great, it really pops off the canvas.

How was The Martian?
I thought that in some ways it was much better than the book but I didn't like the time shift near the end where Matt Damon suddenly became skinny and weirdy beardy. Seemed a bit jarring.

EDIT: Done the old daylight photo switcheroo again. The shading doesn't look quite as bad without the blurry graininess.

I don't know how you do it in biro Val, pencils ok, but biro is so unforgiving. Good job, you're going to cheer banj up so much :D

I love The Martian, its the 2nd time i've seen it, I agree about the time shift, it seemed a pointless addition to show him so skinny, we understand how much time has passed. The fact that you become so involved and invested in him, and feel his struggle is amazing to me. Good movie
