Well this thread resurrection confused me. I started wondering if the last five months had been a dream. 
Interesting pics. I don't care for that baffling Mickey and Minnie. I wouldn't have a clue if it didn't tell me what it was supposed to be.
My favourite of them is the one of Duchess and O'Malley. Not only does it capture the characters and personalities, it also does so using the same art style as the original.

*nods* I also like the Nick and Judy pics and a few others 
There are some of the lions from Simba where it's just obvious how humanoid the faces of the lions are in the first place. And it becomes a bit odd to first humanize the animals and than er... humanize them again...
