Schizo: Noooooo! Damn those computer crashes. Keep going, I don't think I can cope without my monthly Schizo painting. Save and save often!
Dragon: Welcome (or welcome back!) A nice start, looks eerie in a subtle way, that face emerging from the bright background. Look forward to seeing what you'll add to it.
Danny: I didn't notice that hand at first but it's a really great idea, especially how it repeats the shape of the cat's tail. I like it when details reveal themselves slowly, it makes you want to keep coming back to look again to see if you've missed anthing else.
Micro: Nice to see the foreground taking shape. I can now see the story developing without being told. As Schizo said play around with the size of that figure it looks a little short but the rest of the picture is working well around him.
Ed: 40 layers! I always paint on just one (apart from the odd lighting effect, if I remember.) I don't think I could keep track of 40 so well done to you if you can!
Done a bit of work on mine...
Corrected some perspective errors (although there are plenty more!) added some wood detail and began to fill in some background props; a bit of a bookcase and maybe some bottles and potions. Should probably have done that before the candle flame as it's rather difficult. That's what you get for painting on one layer!
I'm not too happy with the apprentice character, it's becoming a bit more cartoonish that I'd intended, that kind of thing tends to happen when I don't use reference, also the reaching shoulder isn't quite right. And... I'm still not sure if it's male or female!? I couldn't decide early on when sketching and now it's just progressing in an androgynous way.
